These photographic images with their
captions tell a story of the year
I lived in solitude on a small remote island on the coast of southern
Chile. My intention in going was to integrate Ph.D. research into the
physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual effects of deep wilderness
solitude with personal spiritual
practice.
My lived experience research and the
narrative-style dissertation that
has emerged is for the Individual Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies
Program at the University of British Columbia.

The images are intended to tell a
story, and I believe your experience
will be richer it you view the images and comments sequentially through the five
seasons I lived in solitude. Thank you for joining me on the journey.
